Troy Harris, LMSW
Staff therapist
If you’re looking for a therapist who…
Has dedicated their entire practice to treating OCD and hoarding disorder
Specializes in Relationship OCD, perfectionism / “Just Right” OCD, and OCD that’s convinced you it’s the glue holding your life together
Understands that OCD can look like responsibility, discernment, and conscientiousness
Will take your neurodivergence seriously, not just work around it
Will challenge you with compassion and meet you where you are
…then you might be in the right place.
Troy works with adults whose OCD has optimized itself to support their personal and professional goals. If part of you feels you need OCD to stay afloat, you’re in the right place. Her clients often work in law, finance, or health care, are athletes, artists, performers, or parents; they occupy high demand, high stress roles that often reward OCD behaviors.
For many of her clients, OCD didn’t start as something that was obviously disruptive. Years of being pushed to anticipate problems, optimize decisions, or stay in control of outcomes frequently produced concrete, tangible results. They may have achieved perfect grades, progressed quickly in their careers, or earned consistent recognition. But over time, this system becomes exhausting, making it difficult to relax, trust decisions, enjoy relationships, or feel present, even when things are going well.
Troy’s specialties include perfectionism / “Just Right” OCD, hoarding disorder, and Relationship OCD in people who are dating or want to get back into dating. She uses a combination of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help her clients decide whether OCD is still the return on investment it claims to be.
As someone who is recovered from OCD, Troy understands how persuasive it can be when it claims you need its structure to hold your life together (especially if you’re neurodivergent). She also knows the cost of entrusting it with your self-governance. If you’re ready to see what life looks like when you’re not constantly bracing for collapse, please reach out.
