WorkING at
Triska Psychotherapy

My practice is dedicated to providing above-market compensation, a full suite of health and retirement benefits, and a work environment that nurtures talented early-career therapists with continuous learning and professional autonomy. Learn more about working here below.

future openings

Because my practice focuses on training early-career therapists, vacancies are an expected part of the practice’s operations as therapists receive their independent licenses and start their own practices or move on to other opportunities. While I’m not actively recruiting to fill a vacant position at the moment, I’m always happy to consider an inquiry from the right candidate. You can upload your résumé at the bottom of the page and I’ll get in touch about expected future openings. In addition to staff therapist openings, I also periodically take on (paid) clinical interns.

compensation

All staff at my practice are W-2 employees.* I offer staff therapists a 60% fee split and $30 per hour for documentation, supervision, training, and other administrative work, with a fee split increase to 65% after one year of employment once you meet your revenue target.

Staff therapists set their own rates and can offer sliding scale rates and single-case agreements. The required caseload for staff therapists is a minimum of 15 clients per week. You can see current therapists’ rates here (typically in the $200-300 range for out-of-network/out-of-pocket therapy).

*BTW, that’s the law. If you’re a 1099 contractor as a pre-licensed therapist, your practice is breaking laws related to LMSW and MHC-LP supervision, putting your license at risk, and misclassifying you to the IRS in order to pass their payroll tax burden onto you.
