Jackson Mittler, LMSW
Staff therapist
Jackson (Jax)(he/him) excels at providing individual psychotherapy and executive functioning skill development for adults. Due to his academic and professional experience, and his own identity as a gay trans man, Jax enjoys working with members of the queer and trans community. Jackson thrives at working with clients who have ADHD, executive dysfunction, anxiety, OCD and autism (whether formally diagnosed or not). He has extensive knowledge about executive dysfunction and related skill-building. He also specializes in helping his clients navigate issues related to polyamory/non-monogamy and all other relationship structures.
Jackson's therapy style is conversational, person-centered, and direct. He aims to create a comfortable environment to explore who you are and how you got here. Clients have said that Jax brings a calming and patient energy to the room. Jax practices therapy grounded in executive functioning work, ERP, ACT, IFS, relational, and existential modalities.
Jackson welcomes clients to reach out with any and all questions about what therapy would be like with him.
I might be the right therapist for you if…
…you want a therapist who will center your goals and not push their own ideas about what your life "should" be
…you’re trans, nonbinary, or questioning your gender and want to talk to somebody who understands the nuances of gender
…you're autistic, an ADHDer, or otherwise neurodivergent and have struggled to find a therapist who understands your experience
…you struggle with executive dysfunction and want to work towards creating a more sustainable life without centering productivity
…you want a therapist who can help you recognize the role that all types of relationships play in your daily life (including your relationship with your therapist!)
…you loveeeeee an analogy that hits
