Caryn (they/she) is a trans nonbinary therapist who specializes in helping clients navigate OCD, anxiety, and sexual trauma (and often the intersection of all three). They help clients understand that anxiety is not actually an emotion, but a way of avoiding bigger, more unpleasant feelings bubbling beneath the surface. Using mind-body therapies like IFS and ERP, they teach clients how to get in touch with these Big Feelings without being swallowed by them.Caryn brings a deep understanding of how oppressive systems impact our relationships with ourselves and each other. They’re especially passionate about providing trauma-informed sex therapy to LGBTQ+ folks and/or sexual violence survivors. They also specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, existential grief, and executive dysfunction.Creating safety in feeling scary emotions is central to their practice, as is providing tangible tools to help clients feel more capable in addressing their struggles. Caryn believes firmly in using therapy to guide folks toward pleasure, whatever that means to them.

Rates
Individual therapy: $250 per 50-min session
Couples’ therapy (2 people): $300 per 50-min session
Relationship/family therapy (3+ people): $350 per 50-min session
Caryn offers sliding scale rates on a case-by-case basis and is sometimes able to flex their rates for clients whose out-of-network benefits do not adequately cover therapy. They may also be able to offer single-case agreements for clients without out-of-network benefits depending on the details of your plan.
