Marielle (She/Her) is a licensed psychotherapist originally from Brooklyn, NY who works with individuals and couples. She believes that to be in a therapeutic process, and essentially the ability to share your internal world, requires feeling understood, safe, and connected. Marielle aims to build an honest, open, and trusting dynamic with you, where you feel safe enough to explore and express all parts of yourself. 

Marielle is curious about the language you use to detail your experiences and will explore the interwoven nature of your intellectual and emotional expressions. Recognizing that you are the expert of your own experience, Marielle also understands that we, human beings often encounter our own unconsciousness, sometimes experienced as pain– and that is where growth can happen.

Drawing primarily from psychodynamic theory, she prioritizes self-reflection and insight into both conscious and unconscious processes. With time, repetition and practice in confronting different parts of yourself, you can begin to step into a freer version of you that feels more congruent and aligned. 

Marielle also specializes in treating OCD through exposure and response prevention (ERP) and is passionate about working with the overlap of OCD and trauma. She has had the privilege of working extensively with the LGBTQIA+ community, providing a warm, supportive environment to navigate life’s challenges and transitions, and is deeply committed to anti-oppressive and anti-racist work.

45-minute individual session: $250
