About Jessy
Jessy (they/them) collaborates with high achievers who feel disconnected from their emotions and recognize that following societal or familial expectations hasn't brought them happiness. Jessy empowers clients to pursue what truly brings them joy and start directing their own lives, breaking free from external pressures. They support clients in reconnecting with their feelings, identifying sources of joy, making significant decisions, setting boundaries, and developing assertiveness. Jessy often works with Asian immigrants or those with Asian heritage and is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
Jessy employs an eclectic approach to address issues related to race, immigration, acculturation, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, suicidality, BPD, trauma, and relationship challenges. They integrate mind-body techniques to deepen clients’ connection with their bodies, using methods from Gestalt therapy, exposure and response prevention (ERP), mindfulness, somatic work, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and internal family systems (IFS). With a background in the arts, Jessy also supports clients interested in artistic and nonverbal self-expression.
Deeply committed to kink-, polyamory-, and trans-affirming care, Jessy is training to become an AASECT-certified sex therapist. They guide clients through the complexities of gender and sexuality exploration and address issues related to sex and sexual trauma.
Jessy might be the right therapist for you if…
