Meet my talented team

Triska Psychotherapy staff deliver quality care and personal attention up to the high standards of my practice.

All staff receive thorough, structured training and ongoing supervision in ERP and ACT treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders, and many have training in other modalities, such as IFS, EMDR, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and psychosomatic psychotherapy.

Read about staff therapists’ experience, training, languages, and rates below and use their contact forms to get in touch.

FAQs about staff therapists

  • Yes, if you have out-of-network benefits, the services provided by one of my staff therapists should be reimbursable. Your therapist will provide you with a document called a "superbill" for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will usually receive a reimbursement check for your session fee in 2-4 weeks depending on your plan.

Submitting superbills through your insurance company's patient portal or app is usually easy, but if you don't want to do it yourself, you can use a service like Reimbursify. This service will allow you to submit claims for reimbursement just by snapping a photo of your superbill.

Please note that therapy with a clinical intern is not usually reimbursable by insurance.

  • If you have an HMO, EPO, or other plan that does not offer out-of-network care, staff therapists at this practice may be able to assist you in requesting a single-case agreement (SCA), also known as a network gap exception. If your SCA is approved, you will be responsible for any fee over what the insurance company reimburses.

  • Call the number on the back of your insurance card, or use your insurance company's online patient portal. Here are patient portals for the most common insurance types:

If you’ve tried these methods and you’re still unsure, contact the therapist you’d like to work with, or reach out to the practice director.

  • My practice is home to psychotherapists with different license types, including clinical social workers (LMSW, LMSW-LP, LCSW), mental health counselors (MHC-LP, LMHC), and marriage and family therapists (MFT-LP, LMFT). All of these license types require a minimum of a master’s degree and licensing exam.

Each profession also requires multiple years of supervised post-graduate experience before the therapist receives a license to practice independently. This is why you might see therapists with different acronyms after their names despite having the same degree. For example, an MHC-LP (Mental Health Counselor - Limited Permit) is a counselor who is still accumulating supervised hours toward independent licensure, while an LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) has gained the required experience to practice independently. Regardless of license type, all of the staff at my practice work closely with me and receive regular supervision and training.

This practice also hosts clinical interns who have not yet completed their graduate education and are obtaining psychotherapy experience here under close supervision.
